Rocky Mountain Urgent Care and Family Medicine offers psychology services at three of our locations (Aurora, Englewood, and Lakewood). Our experienced psychology providers include Ph.D. level licensed psychologists as well as licensed counselors that provide individual, couples, and family counseling.
Meet our Professionals
Dr. Jo Angela Johnston, PSY.D.
Dr. Johnston is our Director of Behavioral Health. She is Clinical Psychologist who has over ten years of experience supervising students and clinicians and treating children, adolescents, and adults with all types of psychological concerns. She frequently works with individuals who are experiencing mild to severe symptoms of anxiety or depression, or who have experienced some type of trauma. Dr. Johnston uses an integrative approach to psychotherapy to best serve each patient’s individual needs.

Michael Gyorffy, LCSW
Michael Gyorffy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the University of Kentucky where he worked extensively with children with ADHD, adolescents with substance abuse difficulties, and adults with anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. He is also a licensed alcohol and drug counselor in the state of Kentucky.

Gene Toews, LCSW
Gene is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 40 years experience in working with substance abuse, co-dependency, mental health, and hospice care. He is a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals. Gene is also a nationally certified hostage negotiator and recently served as the mental health consultant to the Limon Corrections Facility Crisis Negotiation Team. He has expertise in substance abuse, co-dependency, trauma work, and working with the spectrum of mental illnesses. He has experience with adults, adolescents, and children. Gene is married and has three adult daughters and three granddaughters. He enjoys his family and loves to play golf.
