Are you traveling outside of the United States?

Rocky Mountain Urgent Care and Family Medicine now offers travel medicine services.

Every year more and more Americans are traveling internationally — for vacation, business, and volunteerism, and to visit friends and family. Whatever your reason for traveling, the information on this page will help you to be Proactive, Prepared, and Protected when it comes to your health—and the health of others—while you are traveling.

Ideally, you should set up a consultation 6 to 8 weeks before your trip. Most vaccines take time to become effective in your body and some vaccines must be given in a series over a period of days or sometimes weeks. If it is less than 6 weeks before you leave, you should still have a consultation, you might still benefit from shots or medications and other information about how to protect yourself from illness and injury while traveling.
